David Phelps

A week or so ago I posted a song from Luke Garrett and made a comment about David Phelps maybe having to "take a back seat". I want to play on the word "maybe"; I didn't say he had to. Ha! Ha!
I love to hear David Phelps sing and he probably is my favorite. His voice is warm and not squeaky. I'm posting this video to honor him. I did some research on you tube and found this video. After the reprise David hits an F5. I have to say that is very impressive. You can play the note on your keyboard with his voice. It will be the F note in the 5th octave range. Some facts about David:
Age: 41(I'm 6 months older) - heeee, heee!
He has 4 children
His wife is Lori and they've been married for 12 years
He has been with the Gaithers since 1998

This is for you Munck girls.

Our Mother

"M" is for the million things she gives us,

"O" is for all the obstacles she overcomes with us,

"T" is for all the tears she sheds over us,

"H" is for her heart of gold;

"E" is for her everlasting Godly spirit,

"R" is for how she remembers us at all times.

My "Missy" is truly a Proverbs 31 woman. I will never be able to repay her for all she is to me and our children. God gave me the best, and I will never deserve her.

Happy Mothers Day Honey!!!

The Proverbs 31 Woman :
10An excellent wife, who can find?
For her worth is far above jewels.
11The heart of her husband trusts in her,
And he will have no lack of gain.
12She does him good and not evil
All the days of her life.
Her Character
as a Wife
13She looks for wool and flax
And works with her hands in delight.
works joyfully
14She is like merchant ships;
She brings her food from afar.
15She rises also while it is still night
And gives food to her household
And portions to her maidens.
16She considers a field and buys it;
From her earnings she plants a vineyard.
17She girds herself with strength
And makes her arms strong.
18She senses that her gain is good;
Her lamp does not go out at night.
19She stretches out her hands to the distaff,
And her hands grasp the spindle.
Her Devotion
as a Homemaker
20She extends her hand to the poor,
And she stretches out her hands to the needy.
Her Generosity
as a Neighbor
21She is not afraid of the snow for her household,
For all her household are clothed with scarlet.
22She makes coverings for herself;
Her clothing is fine linen and purple.
23Her husband is known in the gates,
When he sits among the elders of the land.
24She makes linen garments and sells them,
And supplies belts to the tradesmen.
Her Devotion
as a Homemaker
25Strength and dignity are her clothing,
And she smiles at the future.
26She opens her mouth in wisdom,
And the teaching of kindness is on her tongue.
Her Influence
as a Teacher
27She looks well to the ways of her household,
And does not eat the bread of idleness.
28Her children rise up and bless her;
Her husband also, and he praises her, saying:
29"Many daughters have done nobly,
But you excel them all."
Her Effectiveness
as a Mother
30Charm is deceitful and beauty is vain,
But a woman who fears the LORD, she shall be praised.
31Give her the product of her hands,
And let her works praise her in the gates.
Her Excellence
as a Person

One Of The Greatest

Luke Garret has to be one of the greatest tenors in Christian music.
David Phelps (one of my favorites) may have to take a back seat to this pioneer.
Luke has been singing for over 20 years. His travels have taken him to every state in the union as well as to Asia, South America, the Middle East and Europe. He has sung for numerous Presidents, various denominational national conventions, state conventions, evangelism conferences, music conferences as well as for the local church, various charities and prison ministries. Pause the music player below and sit back and worship as you listen to one of his greatest songs "Arise".
